🍌 Banana Bread Brownies

Ingredients

For the Brownies:

  • 2 eggs
  • 3 mashed bananas
  • 1 Β½ cups sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Β½ cup butter (melted)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

For the Frosting:

  • Β½ cup butter
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 Β½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix butter, sugar, eggs, sour cream, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Add flour and baking soda (about 2 cups flour + 1 tsp baking soda, optional if you want a fluffier texture). Mix well until combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for about 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let it cool.
  6. For the frosting: Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat, then whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  7. Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies and let it set before cutting into squares.
